I Had A Little Hen - English Nursery Rhyme With Lyrics

***** I Had A Little Hen Lyrics ****

I had a little hen, the prettiest ever seen,
She washed me the dishes and kept the house clean;
She went to the mill to fetch me some flour,
She brought it home in less than an hour;
She baked me my bread, she brewed me my ale,
She sat by the fire and told many a fine tale.

I had a little hen, the prettiest ever seen,
She washed me the dishes and kept the house clean;
She went to the mill to fetch me some flour,
She brought it home in less than an hour;
She baked me my bread, she brewed me my ale,
She sat by the fire and told many a fine tale.

The Foolish Goat ( Aesop Fables )

One day a fox was strolling and wandering in a jungle. He wasn’t careful where he was walking and fell right down into a well. The fox tried to get out of the well but he couldn’t reach the top. So he started calling out for help.

A goat was passing by. He heard the fox’s voice and peeped inside the well. “Did you call, my friend? What are you doing inside this well?” the goat asked the fox.

The fox realized that the goat was foolish. So he said,”I came inside here to drink this water. It’s really good and sweet. You should come in and drink it too.”
The foolish goat believed him and jumped into the well. The fox then quickly stepped onto the goat’s back and jumped out of the well.

MORAL:    Do not oblige cunning people.

A little boy he picked it up and put it in his pocket

The Cat & The Fox - Aesop Fables

On one sunny and warm day, a cat and a fox were sitting under a big tree, talking to each other. Randomly, they started discussing how they would escape a pack of dogs.

The fox was very boastful. So he proudly said, “ I know a lot of ways to save myself from dogs, i can run into the forest , or hide behind some bushes or trunks or i can just hide inside a burrow.”

“Good for you”, the cad said innocently, “ I know just one way and that is to climb on a tree.”

“Just one way?” said the surprised fox, “ you wont be able to save yourself with just one way.”

Just as they were talking about this, a pack of dogs attacked them. The cat quickly climbed up the tree whereas the fox ran here and there, tried to find a burrow, and tried hard to escape. But finally the dogs caught him. The cat on the other hand remained safely on the tree.

The Owner Of The Shadow - Aesop Fables

Once a rich man wanted to travel through the desert and wanted to travel to another village. So he hired a donkey with his master to travel. He sat on the donkey and started his journey and the master lead the donkey through the scorching desert.

It was very hot. So after travelling a great distance into the desert, they decided to take some rest. The rich man got off the donkey and looked around. But there was no shade or tree to be seen.

The master sat in the small shadow of the standing donkey. The rich man saw this and said to the master,” I want to sit in the donkey’s shadow. I have paid for the donkey. Its my right to sit in his shadow. “
The master replied,” you have only hired the donkey. Being his master, i will sit in his shadow.” they both started arguing on this topic and soon it turned into a fight. The donkey got scared and ran away. Thus neither of them got the shadow.

MORAL:  A fight may end up in a loss for all.
